TWGD offers professional automotive tint using HEXIS solar films, with options ranging from traditional solar film to premium ceramic-style heat-rejection solutions depending on the vehicle and the result you want.
Available shades include multiple visible-light-transmission levels across the HEXIS SKYSTAR and MAJESTIK product families. HEXIS currently lists SKYSTAR in 5%, 15%, 20%, 35%, 50%, and 70% options, while MAJESTIK is offered in 5%, 15%, 25%, 35%, 50%, 70%, and 85%.

The windshield is one of the largest pieces of glass on most vehicles, which also makes it a major source of heat and UV exposure. Depending on the vehicle and applicable law, lighter solar films can provide additional comfort and UV protection while maintaining a much more natural appearance.

How dark can I legally tint my windows in Florida?
Florida sets a minimum amount of light that has to pass through each window. On cars, the front side windows have to let in at least 28% of visible light, and the back side and rear windows at least 15%. On SUVs, vans and most trucks, the front sides stay at 28%, but the back side and rear windows can go as dark as 6%. We build every install around those limits and confirm what your vehicle can take before any film goes on the glass.
Does a darker tint reject more heat?
Not on its own. Shade controls how much visible light comes through the glass. Heat rejection comes from how the film is built. A lighter film with strong solar performance can keep a cabin cooler than a much darker film without it. That is why we start with the performance you want and choose the shade second.
Can you tint the windshield?
Florida allows non reflective film across the top strip of the windshield, above the line the manufacturer marks. Anything below that line depends on the vehicle and current law, so we review it with you before we touch the glass. If your goal is protecting the windshield rather than shading it, HEXIS BFSHIELD is a clear film applied to the outside that helps guard against wiper scratches, road debris and everyday surface wear.
How long does installation take, and when can I roll the windows down?
Most vehicles are finished in a few hours, depending on how many windows are being covered and whether old film has to come off first. After that the film needs time to cure. Leave the windows up for the first few days, and expect a little haze or a few small water pockets while the adhesive dries. Both clear on their own, and Florida sun speeds it along.
What if my vehicle already has tint on it?
Existing film usually has to come off before new film goes on, especially once it has started to turn purple, bubble or peel. How long that takes depends on the age of the film and how far the adhesive has broken down, so we confirm removal pricing once we have seen the glass. Factory privacy glass is different. That is tinted glass rather than applied film, and we work with it instead of removing it.
